Peterborough Centennial Museum - Ongoing displays, continue up the hill past the museum for a view of Peterborough, surrounding area and the Lift Lock. Located in Peterborough.
Riverview Park and Zoo - Operated by the Peterborough Public Utilities Commission, offers a wide variety of animals, a model train ride across the Otonabee River and back, parklands for picnics, playground and wading pool for children. Located in Peterborough.
Lift Lock and the River Boat Cruises - take a cruise on a replica paddlewheeler through Peterborough's famous Lift Lock.

Serpent Mounds Provincial Park - On a high point of land near Rice Lake are nine burial mounds that enclose the graves of the Point Peninsula people. Of significant interest is the largest mound which has a zigzag or serpentine appearance. It is the only one of its kind in Canada. Located south of Peterborough near Keene.
